Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

Master's Employment Services ("Master's Employment", "we", "us" or "our") is a Canadian-owned staffing provider headquartered at 848 Markham Road, Scarborough, Ontario M1H 2Y2. We are committed to protecting the personal information of job seekers, workers, client contacts and website visitors in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you — including how our shift assignment and work-related notifications delivered by SMS text message, RCS (Rich Communication Services) and WhatsApp work.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you apply for work, register with our agency, are placed on assignment, or contact us. Depending on your relationship with us, this may include:

  • Contact information — name, address, telephone and mobile number, email address;
  • Employment information — work history, skills, certifications (such as forklift licences), references, availability, and eligibility to work in Canada;
  • Payroll and administrative information — Social Insurance Number, banking details for direct deposit, tax forms, and records required by employment standards, WSIB and other legislation;
  • Assignment records — shifts offered, accepted and worked, timesheets, and workplace incident reports;
  • Client contact information — business contact details of client representatives we work with;
  • Website information — information you submit through our contact or application forms.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • assess your suitability for placements and match you with client assignments;
  • offer, assign, confirm, change or cancel shifts, including by telephone, SMS, RCS or WhatsApp as described below;
  • administer payroll, statutory deductions and benefits;
  • meet our legal obligations under employment standards, occupational health and safety, WSIB and tax legislation;
  • respond to inquiries and provide customer service;
  • maintain and improve our services and website.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to staffing and employment services without your consent.

3. Shift assignment messaging (SMS, RCS and WhatsApp)

With your consent, we send work-related messages to the mobile number you provide, using SMS text messaging, RCS, and/or WhatsApp. These messages may include:

  • shift offers, assignments and schedule confirmations;
  • changes or cancellations to a scheduled shift;
  • reporting instructions, site addresses, and health and safety notices;
  • time-sensitive administrative messages related to your placement (for example, missing timesheet or document reminders).

Consent.You consent to receiving these messages when you provide your mobile number during registration and agree to be contacted about work opportunities. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. These are transactional/service messages relating to your registration with our agency; we will not send you marketing or promotional messages by text without separate express consent, in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Message frequency varies with your availability and active assignments. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out. You may withdraw your consent at any time by replying STOP to any SMS or RCS message, by blocking or muting us on WhatsApp, or by contacting our office at 416-291-0611 or [email protected]. Reply HELP for assistance. Please note that if you opt out of shift notifications, we may be unable to offer you shifts by text and will contact you by telephone or email instead, which may delay time-sensitive offers.

Your number. Please keep your mobile number up to date and tell us promptly if it changes, so that shift information is not sent to the wrong person.

No sharing for marketing. Mobile numbers and SMS/RCS/WhatsApp opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

WhatsApp.If you choose to communicate with us on WhatsApp, your use of WhatsApp is also governed by WhatsApp's own terms of service and privacy policy (operated by Meta Platforms). Messages sent over WhatsApp may be processed on servers located outside Canada.

4. When we share information

We disclose personal information only as needed to:

  • Client businesses — limited information (such as your name, relevant certifications and assignment details) necessary to place you on assignment;
  • Service providers — payroll processors, messaging and telecommunications providers (for example, SMS gateways or the WhatsApp Business platform), and IT providers who process information on our behalf under confidentiality obligations;
  • Government bodies — the Canada Revenue Agency, WSIB, Service Canada and others where required by law;
  • Legal purposes — where disclosure is required or permitted by law, such as responding to a court order.

Some service providers (including messaging platforms) may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be accessible to authorities in those jurisdictions under local law.

5. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and to meet legal requirements. Payroll and employment records are retained for the periods required by the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000, tax legislation and other applicable laws, after which they are securely destroyed or anonymized.

6. Safeguards

We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including restricted access to records, secured premises and password protection of electronic systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you not to send highly sensitive information (such as your SIN or banking details) by text message or email.

7. Your rights and choices

  • Access and correction. You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct any inaccuracies.
  • Withdrawing consent. You may withdraw consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to place you on assignments.
  • Messaging preferences. You may opt out of SMS/RCS/WhatsApp messages as described in section 3.

8. Website and cookies

Our website may use strictly necessary cookies and standard server logs (such as IP address and pages visited) to operate and secure the site. We do not use invasive tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes to how we handle personal information will be communicated through the website or directly to affected individuals where appropriate.
